Why I Still Build My Life Around Stories — Both on the Road and Online
Travel has shaped me in ways I never expected. From the dusty roads of northern Ghana to the quiet mornings in The Gambia, from the chaotic beauty of Accra’s markets to the endless beaches of Denmark and Poland — every journey has left a mark on me. Not just in photos, but in the way I see people, culture, and the world around us.
I’ve always believed that travel is more than movement. It’s a conversation. A way of listening. A way of understanding life with “fresh eyes,” no matter how many times you return to the same place.
Over the years, I’ve carried this mindset into everything I do — especially into my digital work.

Many years back, in Berlin. Might have been 2002 or 2004... Where Past, Present and Future

From Travel Stories to Digital Architecture
Long before social media made sharing easy, I was already building websites to document my experiences. Ghana, Burkina Faso, Kenya, Egypt, Thailand, Romania — each place inspired me to create something online that would last longer than a moment.
What started as a simple way to share photos eventually became a passion for building digital spaces that feel alive. Websites that tell a story. Websites that have a soul.
Today, I still travel with the same curiosity — but I also build with the same intention.

Why I Create Websites the Way I Travel
When I design a website, I approach it the same way I approach a new country:
I observe.
I listen.
I look for the details that matter.
And I try to create something meaningful, not just something “nice to look at.”
A good website should feel like a journey. Clear. Inviting. Honest. Something that reflects the person or business behind it.
That’s why I continue to build websites by hand, with care — whether it’s a small business homepage, a tourism platform, or a personal project.
A Small Note for Anyone Who Wants to Start Their Own Digital Journey
Many readers of my blog have asked me how they can create their own online presence — a place to share their work, their travels, their ideas, or their business.
If you’re thinking about starting something of your own, I’ve put together a simple, affordable website package that reflects exactly how I work: personal, clean, fast, and built with intention.

The Journey Continues
Whether I’m walking through a market in Accra, exploring a forgotten village in Eastern Europe, or sitting behind my laptop designing a new website — the feeling is the same.
Curiosity. Connection. Creation.
Travel taught me how to see the world. Web design taught me how to shape it.
And I’m grateful that both continue to be part of my life.
